Eye surgery

Ella had laser eye surgery today to stop the growth of the veins in her eyes that if not stopped could detach her retinas. They had to put her back on the ventilator to do the surgery because of the sedation and it will be removed as soon as she wakes up. Right now our prayer is that the surgery corrected the problem and she will not need additional surgery which will mean a trip to Houston.

It was rough for me today because Ella was crying when they took her away for the surgery. Even knowing that she will not remember the pain of her first months of life it's still hard watching your child go through pain. Thank you to everyone that is praying for Ella and us because we need them.

Christy,
I believe with my whole heart that God has given mom's a special ability to feel for their children, in times of pain or great need. I know your heart must have been breaking for Ella yesterday. Please believe that you have hundreds of sisters and brothers in Christ holding you up to the Lord. He will see your family through this. He will be with Ella every step of the way. I know you already know that...but KNOW it deep. God is sovereign still, over you and your family. I pray that God brings peace to soothe your baby blues and comfort to Ella. We love you, Mary

Christy--I continue to pray for Peanut--she's a fighter--she's in the palm of God's hand and you know that His hands are not too short to reach down to comfort and heal my little Peanut. He probably needs only His little pinkie to touch her she's so tiny--but praise God she is growing and no evil shall befall her. She has a great mom and dad and so many adopted grannies and grampas they can't be counted. We are praying for her and expect signs and wonders with miracles to follow..Be encouraged--keep singing to her every chance you get--the song"Yes Jesus Loves Me" comes to mind as I write this. Do me a favor and sing it to her--put your lips to her little ear and let the words feed her spirit. You keep your strength up and just be at peace--God has your back--Jesus is interceeding for you and the Holy Spirit is ever near. Love you-Gwen
